Susan has facilitated workshops, talks, and educational programs on sustainability for both adult and youth audiences internationally. Her work spans a range of settings, including delivering public talks in Prince Edward Island on conservation challenges in the Okavango Delta, serving as a guest speaker for undergraduate classes on the mental health implications of climate change, and presenting to Rotary Clubs in the United States on the human dimensions of biodiversity loss. She has led climate camps for children, developed and delivered library-based programming on composting and food growing, and taught adults practical skills in small-scale food production. She has co-presented at a national conference on farmers market research, taught students about farms and food, introduced primary school students in India to elephant ecology and conservation, and delivered eco-travelogue talks that connect lived experience with broader environmental systems.

Across these diverse contexts, Susan’s work focuses on making the interconnections within biodiversity and human systems accessible, with an emphasis on the urgency of environmental change and the role of everyday practices in supporting more sustainable ways of living.
