Our goals for 2024.

Everything I do stems from one belief: people, wildlife, and ecosystems are deeply connected — and through our choices, we can protect what we share. My work is grounded in sustainability and biodiversity conservation in a changing climate, branching into yoga, photography, memoir writing, travel, and teaching.

A Path Shaped by Story and Exploration

I've stood on the Great Wall of China, meditated on the Ganges in India, hiked through jungles in Belize, and learned the meaning of pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago. My books include Born Fire Dragon, released in 2014, Let Me Carry You Home, released in 2018, and photography book From India with Love: Rishikesh in 2020. I've hosted podcasts, Church of Love and ZenUp, as well was a co-host of web series, Soul Sessions

I've been a vegetarian for almost 30 years, and love exploring vegan and vegetarian recipes, and global cuisines. (Though despite it all, nothing beats a large slice of cheese pizza from my home in NYC.)

I hold a Master of Science in Global Health, completing a Master of Science in Sustainable Food Systems, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History (with a minor in Anthropology). My interest lies in how human-driven effects from climate change and behaviour impact wildlife conservation, and how to mitigate those challenges.

I believe in the power of collective action to combat climate change. By working together to create a healthier planet and creating global connections, we can ensure a better future for generations to come.

EDUCATION

I offer workshops, talks, and consultations with a variety of organizations from libraries to universities to businesses.

REFORESTATION

I plant trees in areas affected by deforestation, renewing the land's ability to sequester carbon and supporting local ecosystems. We focus on diversity, density, and natural techniques.

We monitor pockets of undeveloped and agricultural land.

SUSTAINABLE FOOD SYSTEMS

Work with farmers and organizations to promote sustainable agricultural practices, reducing the carbon footprint of our food system. Empower local communities to grow their own food.

We provide education and resource support at the community level.

SUPPORT WOMEN & GIRLS

Support women and girls in their pursuit of sustainability education and action. We support low and middle income countries facing the highest burden of climate change. I support indigenous populations obtain tools to manage their community's resources. I support the action of groups seeking to provide resources, conservation, and resources for all species. Build systems of cooperation to help maximize group climate action goals.

WHY SUPPORT US

A New Holistic Way of Approaching Climate Change

I do not take a piecemeal approach to climate change. I work with others to invest in the concept of planetary health which uses an integrative approach to addressing climate change. No one part of the planet or the species on earth can be supported without a multi-pronged approach. Everything is connected from the microbes to the ozone. It is up to us to build integrated systems that work in harmony with nature to mitigate climate change and shift where we can to reduce its impact.
